Unfortunately, the ongoing volcanic eruption in Hawaii has taken Gary's house, workshed, tools, surfboards, etc. There is a Go Fund Me page if fellow Lancers would like to help Gary out. https://www.gofundme.com/helpgaryyoung

In my opinion, Gary Young is the most innovative surfboard builder of all time. Bob Simons brought the world foam & fiberglass surf boards in the the 1950's. Gary has used his creative mind & craftsmanship hands to the creation of surfboards, body boards, wind surfing boards, canoes, & many other objects that can be made with modern ('74 -today) Composites technologies. [NASA caught on many many years latter] I have made or had Gary make every board I have owned. I still have 8 of his innovative boards built '74-'98. I personally helped with all but the last boards he made for me.
