Mr. Rowe gave me my first real job in 1965 as a library page. He made me comfortable and important from the first instant. I loved that job and library. I knew my mom and dad and family friends would be proud of me. l loved Mr. Rowe.
Here's a trivia question that's not so trivial to a friend of their families.
What do Mr. Rowe and Coach Russ Hawk have in common from their college days? Mr. Rowe went to the University of California, Berkeley, and Coach Hawk went to the University of Oregon.
ANSWER; Both played varsity football. Harry Rowe was a Cal center. i think Coach Hawk was a linebacker. Of course, in those days, players played offense and defense.
