Jack Theroff

October 7, 1946 - June 5, 2015

Jack Theroff, passed away Friday June 5th, 2015 as a result of an accident. Born in Hollywood, California Jack was one of six children. His father, Herman Theroff ran and owned car dealerships in California and Hawaii. When his parents divorced and his mother Helen remarried, the family settled in Hesperia California.

He always loved to work and work hard, his first job was at 15 years of age. Jack graduated from Victor Valley High in Victorville Ca in 1964. He met Pat his wife at work, they married in 1966 and not too long after he bought his first service station. Jack would own service stations until 2011 when he sold his last one in Euless Tx. After 2011 he began a tractor mowing business. He always provided excellently for his family, took pride in doing an excellent job for his customers and even won several awards over the years from the service station Industry.

His four grand daughters were the light of his eye, he adored each of them and spent hours playing, no matter how silly, Papa would do it. "Papa" was the truly the "Worlds greatest Grandpa". Jack also loved animals his entire life and animals loved him. He liked to give every one several funny nicknames especially the family pets. His lifelong love of fishing was his favorite hobby. He had lots of fishing buddies and his idea of heaven was a day on a lake, catch and release.

Jack made friends easily and was well liked by everyone. He could and would help with anything needed and could fix almost anything. With four sisters, a wife, three daughters and now four grand daughters and only one son this was a much needed attribute. Papa took care of all the cars, sprinklers, broken everything at every one's house and kept all the women in his life well cared for. He loved to read about History and the Wild West. He could remember the lyrics to almost any song and even had a pretty good singing voice. JT loved to laugh, liked salsa on anything, could tell good stories and liked to hear a good story. He was deeply loved and admired by his family and friends. You could always learn something from him, his persistence and determination would often amaze you.

Jack is survived by his wife, Pat, daughters Gina Van Orsdol (Jim), Lisa Davis, Erin Ballas (Sam), son Craig Theroff, Grand daughters, Sydney, Samantha, Emersyn and Bella. His four sisters, Karen, Barbara, Debby and Lora. He is proceeded in Death by his parents, Herman and Helen Theroff and brother Kent Theroff. Our hearts are broken but one day we will all be united once again.

A Graveside service will be at 10am, Friday June 12, 2015 at the Bourland Cemetery in Keller. There will be no visitation.

While I did not know Jack personally, I went to school with his sister Karen at Sunny Hills High School in Fullerton, CA. She always spoke so well of her siblings. I would like to write to Karen. Please tell her Stephanie White tried to reach out to her. My address is 853 Vanderbilt Beach Road (314), Naples, FL. 34108

I am so very sorry for your loss, and reading about Jack and his love of his family and friends was so impressive; what a good man.

With sympathy and blessed prayers,

Stephanie
