Marilee Stiles Stern, '67
Marilee became one of the most accomplished artists ever to come from Orange County.

Marilee left Sunny Hills High School after her sophomore year to study ballet and dance in New York City. Eventually she became a prima ballerina with George Balanchine and the New York City Ballet.

Years later she became a painter and her work has attracted international acclaim.

Marilee lives with her husband and family in the Pacific Northwest and continues as a ballet teacher and artist.

One of Marilee's most gifted and successful ballet students has been the celebrated Miss Ariana Lallone.

This photo is circa 2006.

I think we all remember Marilee affectionately as a lovely, unique young lady.

I attended ballet classes with Marilee when she first started studying. I was about 9 years old. What a wonderful time that was. She had such talent.

Marilee was one of my best friends during our NYCB days...and she still is a dear friend to me. I don't see her as often as I would like, even though we both live in Seattle....but love her talent and great enthusiasm for life...
