Mother of Richard, Judy, Randy, Polly, Bonnie and Jon

Mohr, Shirley Ann Eugenia (Fischer), born Dec. 16, 1924, died April 14, 2008, after years of suffering from Alzheimer's disease.

She was one of three daughters of Christiana Marie and John Evald Fischer, immigrants from Denmark.

Born in Blair, Nebraska, where she became an accomplished dancer, diver and acrobat. She won many awards and was featured in Ripley's Believe It Or Not for her abilities.

Her talents took her to Southern California, where, during WWII, she supported the war effort working for North American Aviation.

Later, she and Rudolph Arthur Mohr settled in Fullerton, and raised their six children.

She assisted her husband in his accounting business, was an active volunteer for St. Jude's Hospital and the Big Brother's Organization at the Cameo Thrift Shop. Shirley enjoyed oil painting, sewing and traveling. She especially loved gardening, tending her many fruit trees and entertaining her grandchildren. Her home in Fullerton was the hub of the family for many years until her illness became too severe.

She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her, especially her children and her eighteen grandchildren. She is survived by Richard of Fountain Valley, Judy Smith of Hemet, Randy of Placentia, Polly Murata of Yorba Linda, Bonnie Barnett of Villa Park and Jon of Los Angeles.

Memorial services will be held on May 17th at the Westminster Memorial Park Chapel, Westminster, CA at Noon.
