Mr. Walter D. Kreutzen, 1917-2003

 

Walter D. Kreutzen, was born February 17, 1917 in Michigan, and passed away October 3, 2003. He came to California in 1920 with his mother and father Syra Dommes and Francis C. Kreutzen and three siblings. They settled in Richmond, California. He graduated from Richmond High School. 

 

In 1935, he began working for Unocal Corporation. In 1938, he married his high school sweetheart Dorothy C. Smith. In 1953 the family relocated from Richmond to Fullerton. 

 

Walt retired from Unocal, after 44 years of service in 1979. He and his wife traveled extensively in retirement. 

 

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, children Jeanne Anne Kiloh [FUHS ’58] and Wally Kreutzen, five grandchildren - Bob, Bill, Patty, Amy and Josh. Four great grandchildren - Thomas, Austin, Noah and Samantha.

Graveside services Mon, October 6, 2003 at 11:30AM at Loma Vista Memorial Park, Fullerton . McAulay & Wallace Mortuary assisted the family.
