Mrs. Emily C. Crawford, 1919-2006


Long time Fullerton resident and beloved wife of the late Albert R. Crawford, Emily passed away suddenly October 23, 2006. Emily a 1st generation American born in Hayward, CA June 9, 1919. 


She and her late husband moved to Fullerton in the later 1950's where they raised their 5 children. After raising the children, Emily became involved in the St. Jude Medical Center Guild and volunteered more than 8,000 hours in her 33 years there. The hospital guild was her second family and was truly devoted to it and cherished the friendship and time spent on guild activities. 


Emily is survived by daughter, Joyce Marsh of Berkeley; sons, Wayne Crawford and wife, Diane of Santa Clarita, Jim Crawford, SHHS ‘63 and wife, Jane of Central Point, Oregon, Gene Crawford of Fullerton and daughter, Betty Ford and husband, John of Vacaville. Emily was the proud grandparent of 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. 


The viewing will be Friday, November 3, 2006 from 4-8 p.m. Services will be held Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 10 a.m. at McAulay & Wallace Mortuary, 902 N. Harbor Blvd., Fullerton, CA 92832. McAulay & Wallace Mortuary

Not many Valencia Mesa homes look the same as they did in the 1950s and 1960s, but we’ll always remember Jimmy working on cars into the wee hours of the morning, on his parents’s semicircular driveway on North Euclid.
