Geraldine Lucas, 1920-2009

Lucas, Geraldine Theresa. Born on 10-6-1920. Died on 2-20-2009.

Beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother known as "Gerry" to her friends.

Lived in Fullerton, Calif. from 1958 to present day. She was born in Brookfield, Illinois and moved to California. Gerry was married to Milton Francis Lucas, known as Luke, for 56 years and they had three boys together.

Gerry worked at US Motors as the switchboard operator for 11 years. She was active and loved horticulture. She was a participant at the Fullerton Arboretum and has one of the most beautiful yards in Fullerton. She was a faithful member of St. Juliana Catholic Church and a member of The Cameo Women's Club. She and Luke were active members of the Elks Club first in Illinois and then in Fullerton, CA.

She is survived by one son, Thomas Keith Lucas; two granddaughters, Kelly Kathleen and Jenny Rebecca; one grandson, Matthew Lucas; two great-granddaughters, Blythe Madison and Sloane Avery; and two great-grandsons, Seth Clayton and Gabriel Thomas.

Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday March 12 at 11:00 a.m., at St. Juliana Catholic Church 1316 N. Acacia Avenue, Fullerton CA, 92831 at 11:00 am. A luncheon to celebrate her life to follow Mass at The Fullerton Elks Lodge, 1400 Elks View Lane, Fullerton CA, 92831.
