Prayer for Tommy Kerr

Tommy goes in tomorrow morning, Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 6:30 am to get his right knee replacement at Feather River Hospital, in Paradise, CA.

Lord, we pray for the best possible outcome for our old friend Tommy. We care a lot about him, and some of us have known Tommy since his family first came to Fullerton in about 1959. We ask you to alleviate his suffering. We know he will need time to recover, and we pray for that, too, O Lord. As always, we pray for his older brother, Mike, too. Have mercy on the Kerr brothers, and on all of us. Thank you, Lord.  AMEN.

Please write, everybody. I'm fine -- just haven't saved up enough for a new New to continue the SPOON.I will soon!

Thank you, Marianne. That's devastating news. I've been offline because of computer problems since October, but I worried about Big Mike and Tommy.

You're right: Mike is at eternal peace now. No more worries, no more pain, no more tubes or pain. We'll never forget Mike and his kind smile.

Tommy, I don't know what to say. You've been in my prayers and you always will be. For the time being, please hang in there. We all care deeply about what you're going through. An old friend of mine lost her home to fire in the Malibu hill.

I am Tom Kerr’s cousin marianne Luther Seefeldt. Tommy and I are cousins. Tom got his knee fixed but lost his home in Paradise from the fire. Then mike Tim’s big brother passed 2 days later. I like to think Mike and my sister Susan Luther are up in heaven having a drink. Tommy we will go through this sadness together. It is so hard to lose a sibling. Love forever MA. Marianne

Some of you are wondering, “Will Paul Saevig write an EMBARRASSING, INTRUSIVE article about me in the SPOON, if I have a surgery or develop a serious illness?”

The answer is no. There are a small number of Lancers, however, who update us on their health problems, and have devoted friends who share the news. Tommy and Mike Kerr are two of these people. Please don’t worry.

We pray for you all, believe you me, but we pray publicly only for those of you when it’s appropriate.
