Paul Templeton, 1923-2009
Mr. Templeton was our friend Beverley's ('67) dad.

 

Templeton, Paul Edwin, 86, passed away March 3 at his home in Fullerton.

Born in Speers Ferry, Virginia, and raised in Kingsport, Tennessee, Mr. Templeton lived in Fullerton 50 years.

He was a building contractor and sole proprietor of T&T Construction, specializing in the construction of fine custom homes in northern Orange County.

He retired in 1987, and spent much of his time thereafter in his art studio.

Mr. Templeton served in the U.S. Army Air Forces in World War II as a tail-gunner in a B-25 bomber, flying 55 combat missions over North Africa. He attended Tusculum College in Greeneville, TN, and the USC School of Architecture.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mildred; two daughters, Sue Ellen Wenger of San Juan Capistrano, and Beverley Amundson of Huntington Beach; sister, Helen Freshour, of Virginia; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A private memorial service was held at the Templeton home on March 8.
