January 1, 1946 - January 26, 2013

RUSSELL LOUIS WILLIAMS SR. was born on January 1, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri. He arrived in Orange County, California one year later with his family, dad Ralph, mom Edna Ruth, sisters Joanie, Judy and brothers Ralph Jr. and Raymond. Russ graduated from Sunny Hills High School in Fullerton, California. This is also where he met his wife, Patricia Brown. They were married on December 15, 1966 at Temple Baptist Church in Fullerton, California.

After two years of college, Russ joined the United States Air Force. He was very proud of his service to his country. Russ and Patricia then started a family which now includes his children Russ Jr., Cindy and Matthew, grandchildren Alexis, Samuel, Ben, Alyssa, Jacob, Lauren, Nathan, Bekah, Justin, Brenden, Brittany and Brooklyn, and great-grandchild, Clayton. Russ' dedication to his loved ones, loving care and jubilant sense of humor will always be remembered by all of his family members.

Russ was known by everyone as an extremely hard worker. He spent over 40 years working supervising and training others in the paint industry. Education was also important to Russ as he was always looking to learn new things and improve himself. He earned one Master of Business Administration degree from National University and a second one specializing in Human Resource Management from United States International University. He was also working toward his Doctorate degree.

Russ loved seeing God's great outdoors. He enjoyed both looking down from above while piloting aircraft and seeing the vast open water ahead while captaining his boat. Russ was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hemet with his wife Patricia. Russ's faith in Jesus Christ carried him through his entire life. He always wanted everyone to know that Jesus was his Savior. Russ witnessed to many people, including the doctors and other patients during each of his hospital stays. Even on his final day on the earth, Russ was rejoicing, "I'm going to be with Jesus, my Savior!"
