For Lowell Baker, 66, who writes:

Well, as a native Californian, I never thought I would wind up in Idaho where my father came from as a child. Happy about that seeing how things are in Cali today. I grew up in Fullerton, a wonderful place and time. My jobs ranged from being a bus driver, where I met my wife, to working for 7Up, to doing 40+ years of striping (professionally painting stripes) with 22 years as a contractor. I went to Europe at age 18 and to Israel at age 26. I was a master counselor in DeMolay, and Ive been married for 46 years to the bride of my youth, Arlene, who was a SHHS who used to ride my bus to and from school. My hobbies are photography, history and archeology. Ancient history tells us we have not been here long. I’m a strong Christian, too. I believe in spending my life helping others, and enjoying life. After surviving four strokes and major open heart surgery, I am thankful for every sunrise that comes into the cabin in Idaho where Arlene and I live. Our kids are married and have wonderful sons. Life is good! It’s been hard sometimes, but still good. [and Lowell leave an emoticon with huge smile.]
