Can you remember what was across Commonwealth from Amerige Park, before they started tearing down buildings around 1960?
That's a key Fullerton location for those of us who were in town then. I can’t. This photo gives us some idea.

Almost across form St. Mary’s,

Same with Boy's Club,

Next to City Hall then,

We used to ride, walk and

ride our bikes past all

the time,

I only remember old white

houses.

I was a freshman @ FJC in '63. I went to the homecoming game and probably saw that parade. Thanks Paul!

In those days, a Fullerton Fair was also operated annually at Amerige Park.

I seem to recall that at one time there was a sort of white stuccoed, Spanish-style building, or group of buildings, housing the nuns who taught at St. Mary’s school; and who perhaps worked at other tasks for St. Mary’s Church and/or Roman Catholics hospitals and charities in and around Fullerton. That would have been on the northwest corner of Commonwealth and Highland, across from both Amerige Park and the old city hall (now FPD HQ).
