Dean Buffington, '67, 1950-2014

Dean T. "Deano" Buffington,, born September 13, 1950 in Fullerton, CA and went to his Savior on November 1, 2014. He fought a courageous battle with cancer. He never gave up, was always giving the thumbs up when he lost his voice. He was truly an amazing person and will be missed by family and friends.

Dean loved the outdoors. After he served in the Army, he worked for Kimberly Clark for several years. But, you couldn't keep him inside for long. He left Kimberly Clark and started a pool business with his brother. After the business ended, he worked for KidZone and Dean got the opportunity to travel around the world.

Prior to his illness he was back working in the pool business. When he wasn't working he was fishing or working with wood or collecting turtles.

He loved his family, kids, grandchildren and great grandchild. He lived his life to the fullest even though it was shortened.

Dean was preceded in death by his father (Howard Buffington), mother (Helen Buffington), oldest brother (Dennis Buffington) and youngest stepson (Travis Boling) and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents.

He left behind his lovely daughter (Melanie Buffington), step-son (John Boling), 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 3 sisters and brothers-in-law (Debbie Mosey and Dave), (Doreen Jurado and John), (Doretta New), 3 brothers and sisters-in-law (Darold and Cherryl Buffington), (Don and Jennifer Buffington) and (Doug and Laura Buffington), many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, and his loving and faithful cat (Lady).

We will be having a celebration of life for Dean on January 17, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lugonia Fountains clubhouse across from 1251 E Lugonia Ave Space 6, Redlands CA.
