Douglas B. Scott, ’67, 1948-2018

Doug died of natural causes in January 2018. He’d worked for the Fullerton Post Office for 30-some years. One of his hobbies was raising Alaskan Husky dogs, and he owned several over the years. He mostly lived in Fullerton after graduating from Sunny Hills High School.

Doug was the first son of William and Margaret Scott, with brothers Craig, ’67 and Robert, FUHS.  He was always an affable, even-tempered guy who loved people. I visited the Scott home often, and Doug always enjoyed being part of our activities with Craig. We’d go to sports events, dances, to play basketball or baseball, or out for a hamburger. Doug was an enjoyable companion always.

Right after high school, Doug served our country in the Army, and he was stationed in South Korea for several years.

I’m sorry to see him go. Rest in peace, old friend.
