Greg Sipple, 1945-2008
Brother of Stephanie Sipple, '67
Gregory "Greg" Alan Sipple, 62, of Cornelius, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008 at Carolinas Medical Center. He was born on Oct. 22, 1945 in Dayton, Ohio to Margaret Lucille Sparks Sipple and the late George William Sipple. He was a U.S. Army veteran, receiving a Purple Heart and Bronze Star in Vietnam. Greg worked for JE Pistons as a salesperson and technical representative. He has been part of the racing community for more than 35 years. Mr. Sipple is survived by his wife, Rita M. Sipple; daughters, Deborah Burchard and husband, Butch, of Concord and Teresa Davis and husband, Tim, of Upland, Calif.; mother-in-law, Rita Maldonado; brother, Chris Sipple of Fullerton, Calif.; sister, Stephanie Morris of Colorado; and four grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, at First Baptist Church in Huntersville with Dr. Doug Danner officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Victory Junction Gang, 4500 Adam's Way, Randleman, NC 27317. Raymer Funeral Home is serving the family.
