El Mirasol Hotel In Santa Barbara In 1910
Interview: Jackie DeShannon
Jackie had so many big songs in the ‘60s and she was always on the TV music shows, from Lloyd Thaxton to “Shindig" and “Hullabaloo", etc, She was one of the first female singer-songwriters of the ‘60s and it’s good to see her back again.

She has plenty to say about the recording industry back then, how songs were released and how artists were treated. Her songs were fun, stylish, and also had a strong meaning. They have been covered by dozens of singers ever since. They’ve stood the test of time and recently she's been performing again.
