Janet Arlene Hartzell Boicourt, ’66. 1948-2018

 

 

Janet Arlene Hartzell Boicourt was granted her eternal reward on January 8th 2018. She passed peacefully in her home with her family by her side. 

 

Janet was born May 23, 1948 in Fullerton, California. She graduated from Sunny Hills High School and attended Fullerton Junior College where she earned a certificate in cosmetology, In 1966 Janet obtained her state cosmetology license of which she was very proud. In her amazing life she held many jobs she was a florist, seamstress, child care provider, children's costume designer, neighborhood chef, chauffeur, friend, wife, mother, and Gramy. She volunteered with the Boy Scouts (where she was awarded the district award of merit, and the silver Beaver award), Girl Scouts, PTA, as well as being very active in the Norco Church of Christ. 

 

She is survived by her husband of 49 years Timothy Lynn Boicourt the love of her life. Her devoted sons Tim II, Levi, Randy (his wife Theresa), and daughter Kassi, her grandchildren Christian, Caleb, Charli and Kairi, Her loving sister Kate Hartzell, as well as family, friends and a huge list of adoptive children and brothers and sisters in Christ.

 

Janet loved everyone she met without hesitation or judgment. She showed day in and day out the true meaning of unconditional love. If ever you needed anything she was always there. God used Janet as a beacon to shine his amazing light. She had fought through incredible odds beating breast cancer twice and recovering from a massive stroke. The stroke left her without a physical voice and yet there was never a moment you didn't know what she had to say. She could wrap her arms around you and with a single hug, kiss or lick. make you know you were loved, wanted, accepted and that everything would be ok.

 

Her service will be held January 20th at the Norco Church of Christ 100 Sixth Street Norco, CA 92860. The viewing will be from 10:00am to 11:00am. Service will start at 11:00 am with reception immediately following. There will also be a small service at Arlington National Cemetery 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, CA 92518 on Monday January 22, 2018 at 1 pm.
