Mrs. Joan Eadington Krause, 1921-2018


Joan was born in 1921 in Fullerton, California to Thomas and Winifred Eadington, one of the early families of Orange County and she passed away peacefully at home on February 25th, 2018. 


Joan attended St. Mary's grade school and Maywood High School where she formed many lifelong friendships. While attending Fullerton J.C. she met her future husband, Frederick C. Krause. They were married in 1941 while Joan was in her senior year at U.C. Santa Barbara. 


She then began her life as an Army wife and mother of six children, moving 17 times. The family traveled extensively throughout the U.S., Japan and France. 


In 1967, her husband served in Viet Nam and Joan returned to Fullerton to be closer to her extensive family. Joan is survived by her loving children, Janice (Joel), Barbara (Robert), Peter and Richard; grandchildren, Jennifer (Jason), Jonathon, Julie (Dave), Jeff, Charlie (Kate), Thomas and Jeremy; great grandchildren, Joan and James Essex, and Kieran, Connor, and Athena Fisher; also by daughters-in-law, Ann Krause, Tula Reimersma and Cher Krause. 


Joan was predeceased by her husband, Frederick; sons, Howard and Frederick; and her siblings, Thomas Eadington, Winifred Campbell, Margaret Erickson, Grace Phillips, Paul Eadington and Richard Eadington. She is also survived by may loving nieces and nephews. A family memorial will be held.
