Linda grew up on West Woodcrest, near Woodcrest Elementary School and close to the Orangefair Shopping Center. Other Lancers nearby were Vern Fotheringham, ’66; Cheryl Lindsay, ’67; Jim Sundey, ’66; Steve Noonan, ’64; Leslye Hendricks, ’67 and Ron Pruitt, ’67. One of her best friends was Melissa Fretz, ’67.

Sometimes the school bus she rode came by my house on South Basque. Linda was a kind, sweet person who loved to laugh. She had all the heart in the world.

Linda was a good example of a Sunny Hills student who attracted little notice during her four years. She should have, because she was a fine, kind human being always.

All that glitters is not gold.
