Mike Smith, '67, 1949-2013
Our classmate Mike passed away just a few weeks ago in Hawaii. He lived in Maui. No more information is available currently.

Mike always seemed to be smiling and spreading good cheer. I've seen him at just about all our reunions. He will be missed.

The photo is of Mike in about 2007 at a '67 reunion.

I remember the bare feet and the smile. What greater legacy?

I knew Mike since 6th grade when I moved to Cali.He was a really great guy.We used to have a lot of pretty intense over the line games down at Hermosa School.I think Rich Posey was involved in a few of those too. I remember spending some of those hot summer days in his family's swimming pool. They were one of the first that I knew who had a pool. May you rest in peace Mike and my condolences go out to your brother Greg who I also knew.

Mike, Johnny Gardner and I palled around the summer of 1966. 'Spent a lot of time at the beach body surfing, our fins were Cressi Rondine. I remember him buying a pair of Roman style sandals - remember when leather sandals were new and radical? at a shop on Balboa. It was the summer when The Loving Spoonful was the hot new group. Mike's father had a huge ham radio, filled an entire room. Rest in peace Mike.
