Mr. & Mrs, Pizzuto
Parents of Robert; Gloria, ’62; Francine; and Frank, ’67.

 

 

Mrs. Gloria C. Pizzuto, 90, of Los Osos, died peacefully at her home on Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, with her daughters at her side. 

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Los Osos Valley Mortuary Chapel. 
 
Gloria was born Oct. 30, 1912 in Pittsfield, Mass., the sixth of 13 children, to Rosario and Giovanna Coppola, both natives of Italy. 
 
She married Frank E. Pizzuto of Pittsfield, Mass. Oct. 26, 1940. In 1958 they moved to Fullerton, where Mrs. Pizzuto became employed by Hughes Aircraft. 
 
In 1977 they moved to Los Osos, where they spent many wonderful retirement years with family and friends. 
 
Mrs. Pizzuto was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank, in 1996.
 
She is survived by her four children, Robert Pizzuto, of Pittsfield, Mass., Gloria Ehrstrom of Washington, Francine Harrell of Los Osos, and Frank Pizzuto Jr. of Riverside; 10 grandchildren, seven great- grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. 
Gloria Pizzuto's ability to see the best in people, her sense of humor, zest for life and her wisdom were inspirations to those who knew her. 
 
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Gloria Pizzuto's name, to Hospice Partners of the Central Coast, 277 South St., Suite R, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401.

Frank, it’s been long time since your mom and dad died, but the sorrow never completely leaves us and we remember them every day of our lives. You were the youngest, the source of joy, and your parents and siblings appreciated the incessant racket of your drums, too! Ha.
