Mr. Dale Pulver, RIP
Father of Shelly and Mike.

 

Dale Pulver passed away peacefully on Friday, April 21st, 2010.

He was born in Sioux Falls, SD. After serving in the US Naval Air Force during World War II, he attended college and played football at the University of Minnesota.

After college Dale worked for Uniroyal and Firestone Tire and then founded and operated Mr. Bear Furniture a 7 store retail chain in Orange, LA and Riverside Counties.

Dale lived in San Diego for over 20 years. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Dale and Ann; his brothers, Bill and Jim; and his sister, Mary.

Dale is survived by 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, his children, Shelly, Kim, Steve and Mike; and his lovely wife, Barbara.

Dale was married for over 63 years to Barbara. Through-out his life, he always remained devoted to her and his family.

Dale's life calls to us to live our own lives and create our own stories filled with gratitude and perseverance, athletic camaraderie, faithful and unconditional love, laughter, devotion to family and faith in God.

A funeral Mass and reception will be held Friday, May 7th at 11am at Church of St. Thomas More, 1450 S. Melrose Drive, Oceanside, CA 92056, (760) 758-4100.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Elizabeth Hospice at http://www.elizabethhospice.org in memory of Dale.
