Ernest Edward Krenzin, Jr, age 81, passed away on August 21, 2005, in Seal Beach, California.
He was born in Plevna, Kansas on February 20, 1924 and married his wife Dorene (also from Kansas) in 1944. Ernie served as a missionary pilot in Africa with Mission Aviation Fellowship during the late 1950's. He and his family then moved to Orange County, California in 1961.
Ernie officially retired from Mission Aviation Fellowship in 1989 but continued to work for them voluntarily until 1997. Ernie is survived by his loving wife, Dorene Krenzin (resident of Leisure World, Seal Beach, CA.); son and daughter-in-law, Roger ('64) and Regina Krenzin (missionaries with Wycliffe Bible Translators living in Waxhaw, NC.); son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Michele Krenzin (design engineer and administrative assistant living in Huntington Beach, CA.); daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Doug Baughman (missionaries with Wycliffe Bible Translators presently in North Carolina); eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral and burial services will be held in Sterling, Kansas. A memorial service will be held shortly thereafter in the Seal Beach, California area. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to any mission agency to honor Ernest.
