Mr. Lloyd (Red) Kenagy, 1924-2000
Lloyd C. Kenagy protracted illness after four heart surgeries in 1984-1986.
Having been raised in the Mennonite Church, Lloyd was a believer but was expelled from the church when he was drafted during WWII.
Born in Albany, Oregon, Lloyd moved with at age 18 to Fullerton, California. He served in the Army Air Force during WWII as a ball turret gunner. Married July 27, 1947 to Mildred Jean Marsh of Albany, he returned to Fullerton with her and eldest son, Steven (’66), in 1950 where he lived until his death. There, they affiliated with the 1st Evangelical Free Church of Fullerton for over fifty years. Lloyd spent many years in as a bakery driver/supervisor prior to retirement and then promoted his wife in her art business.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his eldest son, Steven D. Kenagy (1968). He was survived by his wife, M. Jean Kenagy, two sons (Alan D. Kenagy of Garden Grove, California and Scott M. Kenagy of Scio, Oregon), two daughters (Marsha J. Ferraro of Fullerton, California, and Erin S. Tiano of Redondo Beach, California), and one grandchild. Services were held at 1st Evangelical Free Church of Fullerton and burial at Loma Vista Memorial Park in Fullerton.
