Mr. Sheldon Harold Bull, a resident of Palm Desert, CA, was born and raised in Saginaw, MI. After graduating from Arthur Hill High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, and served in the South Pacific during World War II. His 535th Ordinance Company was based on Guadalcanal.
While enlisted, he married Ellie Butera, also of Saginaw, who survives him. They recently celebrated their sixty-third wedding anniversary. His 35 year career with the General Foods Corporation took them from Michigan to California in 1960, eventually making homes in Fullerton, then both Newport Beach and Indian Wells, and more recently, in Palm Desert.
In addition to Ellie, Sheldon is survived by his brother, Duane of Michigan; a son Jon, ’67 (Martha) of Santa Barbara, CA; grandsons, Danny of Santa Barbara, CA and Patrick, of Tucson, AZ; and a great-grandson Dillon of Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Dyan. A private service will be held at Pacific View Memorial Park in Newport Beach, CA.
