I remember him as coach Slezak of our Pop Warner team the Bears in 1959 I believe. Good memories of that team. Great coaches.

I first met Big Ed and his son, Kenny, during our youth sports days in West Fullerton. He was a fixture at both West Fullerton Little League and Pop Warner football. There's something you never forget about a youth sport coach...they make an indelible impression that lasts a lifetime. The Carters are two of the greatest SHHS athletes ever. RIP "Big Ed" and "The Kid".... you left us way too soon.
