I loved (and continue to love) every member the Nix family dearly, including Jeff and his sister Andi and their parents. I was close to Mr. and Mrs. Nix for many years, and to the end of their lives. Mr. Nix was like a second dad to me, and taught me a lot about sports, history and being a good, decent human being. .

Mr. Nix coached West Fullerton Little League and Pony League since the beginning. He coached Gordon Carter, Rick Raczka and many more, including Steve Busby, I believe. He often took Jeff and me to games at Dodger Stadium and the Coliseum.

I’ll never forget him.
