Mrs. Eleanor Prather, 1911-2004
 
 
Eleanore Sabroe Prather died on December 4, 2004 at home in Spokane, WA after a lengthy illness.  Her husband, Rex Prather preceded her in death in 1973.  
 
She and her husband Rex Prather lived in Fullerton, CA for 12 years from 1959-1971.  They owned Prather's Barber and Beauty Salon. From 1936 to 1956, they owned Prather Barber Shop and Beauty Salon in Glenwood Iowa.  
 
Her two daughters, Mary Laura Prather Copley and her husband, Dr. John Copley and Cheryl Prather Hoy and her husband, Dan Hoy survive Mrs. Prather.  
 
She had 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.  
 
Mrs. Prather will be buried in Green Hills Memorial Park (310-831-0311) in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA on Friday, Dec. 10 at 12:00 p.m.  She had resided with her daughter and husband, John and Mary Laura Copley in Spokane, WA.  She was born on August 20, 1911 in Belle Plaine, IA.  She had a full and loving life and is now at peace with the Lord.

So many of us were customers of Prather's Barber and Beauty Salon next door to Nick's Liquor on Orangethorpe, just west of Euclid (called Nicholas until 1960). Close to McDonald's. Remember?
