Helen Purel passed away in her home in Bermuda Dunes, Calif. at the age of 94. 

She was born in Indianola, Iowa. She had a long marriage to Harry Purel. They lived in Fullerton for 55 years before coming to the desert. 

She is survived by her daughter, Lynda Thorson and son-in-law, Ralph Thorson of Bermuda Dunes; her son, Buddy (Harry) Purel of San Juan Capistrano, Calif.; nephews, Chris Purel and Morgan Purel of Dana Point, Calif.; niece, Rhonda Drews and Mark Drews. 

She will be resting at Loma Vista Mortuary in Fullerton. Services are closed for the family.
