SAN DIEGO - Helen E. Staffieri, 87, died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2000, at Scripps Hospital in Encinitas. 

Born Feb. 23, 1913, in Salt Lake City, she lived in San Diego. 

Mrs. Staffieri is survived by her sons, David Staffieri of Escondido, Gerald Staffieri of Provo, Utah, Clyde Staffieri of Vancouver, Wash., and Michael Staffieri of Del Mar, ‘68; daughters Claudia Ann Hackenberg of Vancouver and Toni Lynne Staffieri of Denver; 22 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Friday, Nov. 24, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Del Mar First Ward on Torrey Bluff Drive. 

A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church, with Bishop Richard L. Romney officiating. 

Interment will take place at 2:30 p.m. following the funeral service at Loma Vista Memorial Park in Fullerton.
