Mrs. Margaret Mary DeSutter Graves, 1927-2021
Is this lady your mom, Richard. '62? Iā€™m sorry for your loss. - Paul.

Margaret Mary DeSutter Graves left this earth on December 5, 2021. She died peacefully in her sleep of natural causes at the age of 94.

She called Orange County home for the entirety of her long, happy life. The daughter of Belgian immigrants Josef and Angel DeSutter, she was one of three children and three stepbrothers. She grew up on Orange County farmland and graduated from Garden Grove High School.

In 1947, she married Walter "Buster" Graves, a widower with three young sons: Richard, Frank, and Dennis. Married for 67 years, Margaret and Buster were the loves of each others' lives.

She was a devoted mother to their three boys, and to their daughter Judy. Their Tustin home with the sprawling backyard was the site of countless family dinners, barbecues, and celebrations, as her family grew to 11 grandchildren and step-grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.

A fighter until the end, she was the last remaining member of her family's generation, but her legacy of love lives on in the hearts of the many generations of her close-knit family.
