Mrs. Mercedes Alles. 86, entered eternal life, Aug. 10, 2011. She passed away in Wichita, KS where she has been living since 1986.
Rosary 7 p.m. Wednesday, Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Thursday, both at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will follow 3 p.m. at St. Anthony Cemetery, Clyde, OK.
Mercedes was born on July 9, 1925 and grew up on a farm in Wakita, OK. She was married to Lawrence C. Alles in 1944. After WWII, when Lawrence returned from serving in the Army Air Corps overseas, they lived, along with the growing family, in the states of Missouri, New York, Illinois, and California.
Mercedes loved family and had a very active social life with several relatives and friends. Dancing was one of her passions. Her Catholic faith was at the core of her life.
Mercedes was preceded by her ex-husband, Lawrence in 2001, son, John Alles, brother Francis and sisters Magdalen and Virginia. Survivors; brother John P. Ronck of Belle Vista, AR, daughter Linda Alles-Turner of Wichita, KS, daughter Susan Clark of Murrieta, CA, son Larry Alles of Wichita, KS, and daughter Debra and husband Ron Tracy of Farmington, MN. She leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 10 graet-grandchildren.
