Velma Pyron, 93, a Port Orchard resident, passed away July 11, 2014. Family members include her husband, Ralph of Port Orchard; daughters, Linda Louise Pyron Gunion, '65 of Bremerton; and Sandra Shrieves of Port Orchard.

Ralph and Velma were married 69 years in June. She had five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Velma was preceded in death by her daughter, Lari Pyron, Fullerton Union High School, Class of 1968.

Private family services will be held Tuesday July 15, at 2 p.m. at Haven of Rest Mausoleum in Gig Harbor.
