Neil Schwartz 1949-2011
Neil was ’68 Senior Class President at Sunny Hills High School.

Neil Mackenzie Schwartz, was born December 7th, 1949 in Long Beach, California, to Bill and Catherine Schwartz. He grew up in Riverside and Fullerton, California and graduated from Sunny Hills High School. Neil was a graduate of Stanford University, Class of 1972, and then went on to attend Santa Clara University Law School.

He practiced law in the Bay Area and in Orange County for over twenty years. After making a career change, he left the practice of law and became a certified meeting planner. He worked for several years at Alder Droz in Laguna Beach. From there he went to work for the California Credit Union League where he was employed at the time of his death. Neil and his wife, Jane Drinkgern Schwartz made their home in Orange for the last twenty-five years. He is survived by his wife, Jane and his sister, Suzanne Mounger of Columbia, Missouri. A Memorial Service will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, corner of E. Almond Avenue and S Center Street in Orange on Tuesday, November 22nd at 11:30 a.m.

The family asks that any donations be made to St John's Music Ministry, St John's Food Bank, or to Kaiser Hospice.

I join Tom and Holly in sharing my sorrow at Neil's passing. I don't have time to "cruise" websites as often as others, but I remember seeing both of you at at least one reunion, and wish that we could have seen Neil at them, as well.
He was a valued member of our SHHS family, and he is missed.
When we are all together again, he will be added to our "memoriam" list.

Neil was indeed blessed with a brilliant and curious mind. He was also very humble and knew how to listen to other people with deep interest.

I am so sorry to learn of Neil's passing. He was such a sweet guy...and always so quick to smile. What a pleasure it was to know him in high school. I remember him fondly. My heartfelt condolences to his wife and sister, and to all who knew Neil and will miss him.
