San Rafael resident

Jeannie Eldene Bucheister of San Rafael was a project manager for Pacific Management and the University of California at San Francisco.

She died Jan. 2 of leukemia. She was 51.

Ms. Bucheister was born in Soda Springs, Idaho, and lived in Lucas Valley.

She attended Sunny Hills High School in Fullerton and Brigham Young University. She graduated with a bachelor's degree from the University of California at Berkeley.

She enjoyed boating, camping and gourmet cooking.

She was the daughter of the late Elson Skinner and Jean Elliott.

Ms. Bucheister is survived by her daughter, Kirsten Bucheister; sisters, Jerelyn Spencer and Kathie Hong; and stepfather, Gerald Elliott.

Viewing will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at Russell and Gooch Funeral Home, 270 Miller Ave., Mill Valley.

A memorial service will be tomorrow at 11 a.m. at Westminister Presbyterian Church, 240 Tiburon Blvd., Tiburon.

Burial will be Friday at Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs.
A Death Notice in the same paper adds that she died in San Francisco.
