Nabers, Richard "Dick", 80, a long-time resident of Newport Beach, passed away at his Pauma Valley home on Thursday, December 28, 2006. Dick was the owner and operator of Nabers Cadillac on Harbor Blvd., in Costa Mesa from 1967 to 2003. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Peggy Lee Nabers; his two children, Kathy Magnuson of Williamsburg, Virginia and Rick Nabers of Laguna Hills, California; his 9 grandchildren, Jesse Nabers of Las Vegas, Tracy Giles of Denver, CO, Matt, Kelsey, Greg, Robbie and Stevie Magnuson of Williamsburg, VA, Lauren and Kayla Nabers of Laguna Hills, CA and his one great-grandchild, Lillian Elizabeth Giles, of Denver, CO. Memorial services were held on Tuesday, January 2, 2007, at St. Francis Episcopal Church in Pauma Valley, California. A Celebration Service will be held at the Newport Harbor Yacht Club, 720 West Bay Avenue, Balboa, CA, where Dick was a long-time member, on Tuesday, January 16th, 2007 at 11 a.m. Donations can be given to St. Francis Episcopal Church in Pauma Valley, CA.

Palmer, Mary "Jean", long time resident of Fullerton, passed away on 01/08/07. Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Callis. Jean is survived by her 6 children and their families. A viewing will be 01/15/07, 10 a.m., at Neels Brea Mortuary, service will follow at 11 a.m. Graveside services to follow at Olive Lawn Cemetery in La Mirada. Endresen, Daniel R. "Bob", went to be with the Lord on Dec. 28, 2006, after a lengthy battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Ruth; sons, Daniel and Clifford and daughters, Nancy West, Carol Miller, Linda Ralston, Cheryl Noble and Cynthia DeGroot and their spouses; 19 grandchildren; 9 great- grandchildren; sisters, Blanche Jones and Jean Svedin. He was born in Boston, MA, July 29, 1925 to Arthur and Anna Endresen. He served our country in WWII in the Navy on the USS Ringness, which rescued men from the sinking of the USS Indianapolis and involved in the battle at Okinawa. Bob was a building contractor and real estate broker, a past member of the Fullerton Board of Realtors and a past member of the Trustee Board of the Fullerton Evangelical Free Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, David and Arthur and sister, Ruth Weber. Memorial service was held at the Fullerton Evangelical Free Church and interment at Riverside National Cemetery. Bob was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew him. Hilty, Margaret K., 77, of Fullerton, passed away on October 23, after a brief illness. Loving wife, mother and grandmother, she was married to Clint Hilty for 58 years, until he passed away earlier this year. She was an active member of the Fullerton community, raising 4 kids who were involved in many activities. She served as PTA president at Ford School, and was an active Booster Club member at Sunny Hills HS. She managed her 2 girls, with her husband coaching, in Fullerton Hills Bobby Sox for many years. After Clint retired, they traveled extensively, always returning to their home of almost 50 years in Fullerton. She is survived by her four children, Michael, Douglas, Claudia, and Barbara, and eight grandchildren. Services will be private. Published in the Orange County Register on 11/12/2006.
Serna, Josephine Sepulveda Josephine was reunited with the Lord on 10-29-2006, after 91 years of life. A Native American daughter of both Yorba and Sepulveda families, she married Joseph Serna in 1935. She is survived by her children, Charles, Charliene and Monica; brothers, Anthony and George; sister, Inez; 9 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Bechtel, Mary Helm, 80, of Newport Beach, passed away October 21, 2006. She was raised in San Gabriel, the daughter of Mary and Lynn Helm Jr. (deceased). She was a graduate of Occidental College and spent her adult life in Newport Beach. She was the wife of Edward Bechtel (deceased). Mary was a wife, a mother, a primary school teacher, and a fine swimmer. She was an avid fan of John Prine and Steve Goodman, and frequented the Golden Bear whenever possible. She is survived by her sister, Lynn; two sons, Ed and Erick; grandchildren, Chicory and Brittany, and great grandson Justin. Her family deeply misses her. Arrangements are through the Neptune Society.

Chapman, Betty Jo "Mandy", of Aliso Viejo, went to be with her Lord on Friday, October 27, 2006. She was born August 18, 1921 in Bement, IL. She moved to Santa Ana during her first year and attended local schools. She graduated from Santa Ana High School and attended Santa Ana Junior College. In 1943 she married Claude Wilmer "Chappie" Chapman in Cambridge, MA. She and Chappie returned to Fullerton after WWII and remained in Orange County. Betty's family was her life; she was a dedicated homemaker, active in PEO and several churches (First Presbyterian, Fullerton and Grace Community, Mission Viejo). She loved to travel, read, sew and quilt. Betty and Chappie were active in the Airstream Trailer Club of Southern California. She also "parented" several lucky dachshunds over the years. Betty is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Claude; loving daughters, Patricia Chapman and Lynda Pearson (Gareth); grandchildren, Todd May (Doris), Tamara Beltran (Miguel), Shawn Pearson (Cathy) and Ryan Pearson (Michelle) and great-grandchildren, Nathaniel May, Kristina and Daniel Beltran, Cassidy and Connor Pearson, Samantha, Cade and Brandon Pearson. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2006 - 1:00 p.m. at Loma Vista Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in Betty's memory to the Susan G. Baker, Dr Sherman Elliott, 83 of Fullerton, Ca. passed away October 21st, 2006. A medical doctor for 50 years and corporate doctor for Kimberly Clark Corp. for 28 years. He was born in Los Angeles, Ca. Received his medical degree from the University of Southern California and opened his private practice in Fullerton, California. He was on the staff at St. Jude, Anaheim Memorial and Fullerton Community Hospitals. He is survived by daughter, Sheri Ehrlich and husband Allan; sons, Sherman and wife Claudia, Sheldon and wife Paula; granddaughters, Julie Reda and husband Kenny, Crista Kelsey and husband Rod, Stephanie Baker and Veronica Hamilton; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Marley, Summer, Kirra, Hale, Trace, Branden, Maegan, September and Alexia.
