Marjorie Dorothy Hedrick
Probably a member of the Hedrick Hall family of UCLA; I'll find out.
Hedrick, Marjorie Dorothy, died October 28, 2007. Marjorie Dorothy Hedrick was born in Tercio, Colorado Sept. 13, 1908. Dorothy's family moved to Santa Ana in 1922 where her father established Jessee's Appliance. Dorothy joined First Presbyterian Church of Santa Ana and has been a member for 85 years. Dorothy graduated from Santa Ana High School, Santa Ana Junior College, and UCLA. In 1939 Dorothy married "Friday" Clarence Hedrick who preceded her in 1983. After teaching elementary school for many years, Dorothy completed her school administrative credential at Whittier College. Dorothy worked in the Santa Ana School district as a vice principal and a principal. She was an educator in Santa Ana for 39 years. She was an active member of Delta Kappa Gamma since 1956. She is survived by two daughters; Cecilia Dorothy Woodard and Barbara Hedrick Connors; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Her family was a source of great joy in her life. Memorial service will be Nov. 9, 1:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 600 N. Main Street, Santa Ana. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to First Presbyterian Church of Santa Ana.
