A gentleman, a friend, a shoulder to lean on, a great sense of humor and most of all a genuinely nice person. You were such a lucky man when Cynthia agreed to help you relocate to California. She is a saint and the best friend anyone could ever have. I feel blessed to be one of them. She took such good care of you and she unconditionally always would. You will be missed by everyone and now you are free of the pain you have suffered so humbly. Love and peace to you Rich.

Too young for you to leave us - I only wish I had been in contact with you to say Hello one last time.......to his family.....you were lucky to have him....Jan

Richard passed away this morning after a long illness. He was at home

in Fullerton with his best friend and long-time partner Cynthia Byerrum

at his side.

Richard was a true Sunny Hills gentleman of the old school: a warm

host, a sportsman, and a celebrator of life.

One of the achievements Richard was proudest of was playing for

the Fullerton Junior College golf team in 1970, winning the state

We all lost a good friend today.
