Richard Lee Markman was born in Fullerton, CA on December 6, 1946.

He died on June 2, 1997 in San Diego, CA. He was a resident of Oceanside.

He was a son of Mr. Quentin Chester Markham, 1926-1956 and Mrs. Vivian Fay Taylor Markman, 1924-2011.

Rick is buried at Loma Vista Memorial Park on Bastanchury Road in Fullerton, CA.

He grew up in the Basque Tract neighborhood where he spent many, many Saturdays and summer days playing baseball at Adlena Park with his friends Don Martin, the McGuire brothers, Carl Hilterbrand, Paul Shepard, Tom Everly and many others. Elsewhere in the SPOON, Don and others remember those days with great fondness.
