Saving Desert Tortoises
What makes the desert tortoise so likable? Well, they’re quiet little guys, they never whine or complain, and they don’t bother anybody. They keep trying as hard as they can, sometimes against heavy odds. Their lives are not easy.
Those are qualities we admire. I think sometimes we feel that way ourselves, so we identify with the tortoises. We root for the underdog.
