Every S Cal high school sport now has a certain number of divisions, based mostly on school size.
The strongest Sunny Hills sports programs seem to be golf and tennis, both boys and girls.
The coaches are not full-time, salaried district teachers like Mr. Hawk, Payne, McCall, Skain Crow, who also taught Health Education or Drivers Education. Instead, they appear to be part-time employees who come on campus to coach. Some of them may be volunteers.
Most SHHS students live in Fullerton, but there are some who live in Anaheim, Buena Park, La Habra, Brea, Yrba Linda, Placentia, La Mirada and the cities, including San Clemente, I was told.
A student in Garden Grove, Los Alamitos, or Dana Point may apply to transfer to enroll in the Sunny Hills Korean language program, for example.
Today it's much easier for a student to transfer to play a sport at another school, e.g., from Buena Park to Newport Harbor.
